Installing Bricolage Published by Perl.com

2004.10.28

The second in Bricolage maintainer David Wheeler's series of articles has been published by Perl.com. The article, Installing Bricolage provides an in-depth guided tour to installing Bricolage.

A lot of people have installed Bricolage using the available documentation David says. But I'll be the first to admit that it is a non-trivial exercise. This article has been a long time in coming, as it describes in-depth what all the prompts mean when you're installing Bricolage, and what affect they will have on where Bricolage will be installed and how it will be configured.

The article was originally to be titled Installing and Configuring Bricolage, David says. But it got to be so long, just covering installation, that I had to break it up into two articles. But that should be okay. This will get people up and running with Bricolage, and the next article, Configuring Bricolage, will cover all of the run-time configuration directives that affect how Bricolage runs, what advanced features is uses, etc.

Look for the next article in a few weeks.
